Bechem close to signing Agyei
Bechem United have opened negotiations with Medeama SC’s agile goalkeeper, Daniel Agyei, to help beef up their squad for their CAF Confederation Cup campaign next season.

The 26-year-old shot stopper will add to the growing list of players being signed on by the Brong-Ahafo club in anticipation of the exit of some key players next season.
A close source told the Graphic Sports yesterday that the club was keen on adding the 2009 Under-20 World Cup winner to their side to help strengthen the goalkeeping department ahead of the CAF campaign and the league season.
“Bechem is interested in hiring the services of the player and have started initial negotiation with the player but nothing concrete has been put on paper,” the source said.
Adjei has been instrumental in Medeama SC since joining them from South African side, Free State Stars, and was key in Medeama’s good run in this year’s Confederation Cup.
Bechem United are hoping to count on Agyei’s experience in the Black Stars, Black Satellites and the continental competition to help boost their title aspirations.
When the deal is completed, the 26-year-old former Liberty Professionals goalkeeper will join the likes of Ahmed Toure, Daniel Egyin and Sadiq Haji Haji in the new Bechem United set-up.
