Italy and Liverpool striker, Mario Balotelli, has shared his thoughts of Ghana 8-9 defeat on penalty to Ivory Coast in the final of the AFCON 2015 tournament.
Positing on his Instagram page, the Ghanaian-born striker said he was “proud of my original country".
The 24-year, who chose to play for Italy ahead of Ghana, said the Black Stars gave everything and deserved a win.
He added that all supporters of the Black Stars were proud of the team.
Balotelli also shared the remarks on his Twitter page.
Ivory Coast beat Ghana 9-8 on penalties after a barren 120 minutes of football.
