The newly-appointed Black Stars coach, Avram Grant, officially begins his two-year romance with Ghana football today.
He was expected in the country at the weekend to sign his part of the two-year deal and hit the ground running without delay.
As his first assignment even before he settles down to business, the veteran Israeli trainer is expected to witness Wednesday's 2015 Africa Nations Cup (AFCON) draw in the Equatorial Guinea capital of Malabo together with the GFA president Kwesi Nyantakyi and other FA officials.
The renewable Ghana deal, which spans from December 1, 2014 to February 28, 2017, will be Coach Grant's first African experience despite handling the Israeli national team and English Premiership sides such as Chelsea, Portsmouth and West Ham, and Serbian side Partisan Belgrade in the past.
The 54-year old has been mandated to lead the Stars to perform creditably at AFCON 2015 and break Ghana's continental drought at AFCON 2017.
During the period, the FA expects him to provide technical direction for the other national teams, as well as running coaching programmes for local clubs.
