The Ghana Football Association (GFA)’s lawyers and Coach Kwasi Appiah’s legal advisers have began talks over the severance package for the ex-Black Stars trainer.
The GFA parted company with Appiah by mutual consent last week and stating that the lawyers will meet to reach an agreement on what package is due Appiah.
The coach was handed his dismissal letter last Wednesday which has now set the ground for the lawyers to start their meeting to reach an agreement.
Appiah has been under pressure after the Stars dismal showing at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
A draw at home to Uganda in their opening Group E 2015 Nations Cup qualifiers appeared to have added to Appiah’s troubles.
Not even a 3-2 win away from home over Togo last week was not enough to save Appiah’s job.
Former Black Stars coach, Milovan Rajevac, is widely tipped to return to the post he held between 2008 and 2010.
Rajevac had originally been lined up to work as a technical advisor to Appiah.
The GFA says it will announce Appiah’s replacement before October’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Guinea.
