Algerian referee for Zambia match

Algerian referee, Haimoudi Djamel, will be in the centre of affairs when the Black Stars clash with Zambia's Chipolopolo this evening in Kumasi.

The 42-year-old, rated among the finest referees on the continent, will be assisted on the lines by compatriot Abdelhak Etchiali and Moroccan Achik Redoaune.

Referee Djamel returns to the Baba Yara Stadium almost three years after he officiated in Ghana’s 3-1 win over Congo in a 2012 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on November 6, 2011.

He was in charge of this year’s Africa Cup of Nations final match between Nigeria and Burkina Faso in Johannesburg in February.

Kick-off: 4:00p.m.
