AC Milan stars to honour Menaye charity gala

Several AC Milan stars are expected to grace a Gala night by Menaye Donkor Muntari, to raise funds for the Menaye Charity Organisation.

The football stars will gather alongside high profile personalities from the entertainment industry among other dignitaries for the event scheduled for the VETRA Theatre on May 9, 2013.

Italy’s most famous TV presented, Gerry Scotti, will be the host of the event which is done in collaboration with the Milan Foundation.

According to Menaye Donkor Muntari, wife of Black Stars winger, Sulley Muntari, the event will generate funds through sponsorships, charity auction and donations with the funds being channeled into five main major projects.

Menaye has planned to purchase School bus, build classroom blocks, furniture and provide one hot meal a day  and develop recreational areas for the over 200 pupils under the Menaye School of Hope project.

“Every time I visit my school I get so inspired when I see the impact it is having on the children’s lives. I have always been taught that education is the most important gift you can give, because no one can ever take it away from you”, she said.

She said her intention was to see the Menaye Charity Organisation grow and develop the Menaye School of Hope in Agona Asafo to meet the needs of more children and to continue to support Ghana’s orphans, and the education of society about prevention and treatment of HIV and AIDS.
