Six community teams at Winneba and surrounding communities would on Saturday slug it out in this year's Aboakyer Cup to be played at the Winneba United Park.
Sankor and Ekroful would play the opening game of the tournament which is expected to end on May 7.
The annual Aboakyer Cup is a tournament organised by Nyce Media as part of activities to mark the Aboakyer festival of the Efutus at Winneba.
The competition is sponsored by RUN OFF Restaurant with support from Winneba United and it is aimed at creating the right atmosphere for the people to socialise and reconnect as well as promote unity among the people.
The General Manager of Nyce Media, Bismark Odum Sackey, told the Daily Graphic that this year's competition would include communities such as Sankor, Ekroful, Abasraba, Fete and Donkonyim East and West.
According to Mr Sackey, the winner of the tournament would take home a trophy, GH¢2,000 as well as other consolation prizes.
The first and second runners-up would also receive GH¢1, 500 and GH¢1,000 together with other prices while the fourth and fair play team gets GH¢500 and GH¢300.
