Veteran football administrator, Jonathan Abbey Pobee, has described the provisional list of 26 players selected by Coach Kwasi Appiah for the World Cup as the best for the country and said what the team needed most was motivation.
Pobee, who was sharing his thoughts on the list with the Daily Graphic said, apart from the players, the technical team and the 10 members of the Black Stars Management Committee should also be motivated to give of their best.
He was particularly happy that only three goal keepers were selected saying, that will help minimise the kind of friction which reared its ugly head in the camp of the Stars during the tenure of Coach Goran Stevanovic.
“There has been reports about players who use juju and is therefore very commendable that Coach Appiah kept by his regular goalkeepers” he added.
The outspoken football administrator was also happy about the inclusion of the likes of Dede Ayew, Kevin Prince Boateng and Asamoah Gyan in the team saying, “these are players with World Cup experience and fit for the occasion”.
