Following his spectacular performance at the just-ended Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations, Ghana’s Abdul Fatawu Issahaku was named the best player of the tournament.
The Under-20 player was obviously one of the brightest spots in the Ghana team and it came with little surprise he emerged as the best player of the tournament.
Issahaku scored two goals in the competition but his superb contribution to his team which allowed them to win their fourth continental trophy was what caught the eyes of the Technical Study Group (TSG) to crown him the best player of the tournament.
He expressed his delight for wining the ultimate and believe it would challenge him and his colleagues to work and to realise their aspiration in their career.
“I feel delighted and privileged to win this award, but more so happy that as a team we won the trophy for the Ghanaian people. This is a motivation for us to keep working and hopefully we can take new and bigger steps in our careers,” Isahaku stated
