The versatile defender was one of the standout players for the London-based club, making 37 league appearances and scoring one goal as they booked their place back to the English topflight after two seasons in the Championship.

The defender is being rewarded for helping Fulham gain promotion

Odoi, who can play anywhere across the back four, was on the radar of Belgian Jupiler Pro League sides, Gent and Oud-Heverlee Leuven, but it is now evident that he will stay with Fulham as negotiations have reached an advanced stage.

Born in Leuven to a Ghanaian father and a Belgian mother, the 32-year-old made his senior debut for the European nation in a friendly game against Montenegro on May 2, 2012 but he is still eligible to represent Ghana as it was not an official game.

At club level, he previously featured for Leuven, Sint Truden, Anderlecht as well as Lokeren.
