Tagoe faces Filipino for WBA Int. lightweight title

Ghanaian boxer, Emmanuel “Game Boy” Tagoe will step into the ring on March 27 at the Accra Sports Stadium to fight Joebert Delos Reyes of the Philippines for the vacant WBA International lightweight Championship.

Dubbed, legendary fists, the fight is being put together by Asamoah Gyan’s Babyjet Promotions in collaboration with South Africa-based pay TV SuperSport and Box Office Promotions.

The bill will also feature a 10-round international lightweight contest between Ghanaian, George "Red Tiger" Ashie and Filipino, Ronald Pontilla. 

 Tagoe, 24, had previously held the WBO Africa super featherweight title and  IBF Inter-Continental Super featherweight championship belts. He goes into the fight with a ring record of 23 wins in 24 fights (10 KOs) and 1 loss.

Reyes, 25, is the current IBO lightweight Youth World champion and has a ring record of 13 wins in 18 fighhts (10 KOs), one draw and four losses.

The bill also has five additional supporting fights.
