Though the date and venue are yet to be revealed for this grudge fight, there is only one thing on Ekpo’s mind: revenge.

Ekpo, 34, who has fought 34 times and lost three times, controversially lost to the German last March 25 at the MBS Arena, Potsdam, Brandenburg, Germany in their WBA World Super-middleweight bout.

The tall bulky boxer rued his missed chance of becoming a world champion under what he described as ‘controversial circumstances’ in his fight against the German.

An accidental clash of heads which led to bleeding from Zeuge’s eye, saw the German retaining his title.

That decision sparked criticism from several stakeholders, and thereafter carefully considering the stakes,  the World Boxing Association (WBA) last week announced a rematch much to the delight of the camp of the Ghanaa-based Nigerian.

Zeuge, 25, is unbeaten in 22 bouts, a very tough brawler and slightly taller than his opponent.

The manager of Ekpo, Anthony Kerma of Landmark Promotions told the Daily Graphic that Ekpo is in town and set to depart Accra for the United States to start preparations for the bout with the support of Richard Darko of Landmark Promotions.

He noted that Ekpo would be under the promotional label of Don King Promotions while in the United States.
