Clottey prepares for world title shot
Ghana’s Joshua Clottey says his warm-up fight against American Dashon Johnson next month should make him ready for another shot at a major title fight.

The light-middleweight bout scheduled for the Paramount Theatre in Huntington, New York, in the United States was confirmed last Monday when the parties signed the contract for the fight.
“I am more than ready for this fight; I can’t wait for it,” Clottey told Graphic Sports on phone from his New York base.
“I have worked hard in the gym over the last few weeks to return to shape. I am happy at how far I have come now,” the 35-year-old said.
His recent regimen includes daily workouts under the instructions of Coach Godwin Dzanie Kotey, better known as Alloway.
Alloway stepped in as Clottey’s trainer following a turbulent period when the former International Boxing Federation (IBF) welterweight champion split with his former trainer Kwame Asante and then lost to Manny Pacquiao in his last shot at a world title.
