Black Stars players participate in Green Ghana project in Cape coast

Ghanaians from all walks of life are expected to plant and nurture at least five million trees during the campaign, which is part of the government's efforts to mitigate the impact of climate change and also restore the country’s forests cover.

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo planted a tree at the Jubilee House

On Friday, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo took part in the Green Ghana project as he officially planted a commemorative tree at the Jubilee House in Accra.

Led by the captain, Andre Ayew, the national team players and officials also demonstrated they were alive to their civic responsibilities as they joined in the tree planting exercise.

The Black Stars are in Cape Coast preparing for their international friendly match against the elephants of Cote d'Ivoire at the Cape coast Stadium on Saturday.
