The talented offensive midfielder was the cynosure of all eyes in Turkey with the likes of Galatasary, Fernabahce, Trabzonspor and Besiktas, all seeking for his signature.

However, Besiktas won the race to sign him after an eight-hour talk with Kayserispor in Istanbul last Wednesday.

The conclusion of the negotiations was that the Anatolia-based club will not sell Mensah outright this summer but would give him to Besiktas on loan as they believe his price tag will rise, with the club set to play in next season's UEFA Champions League.

Kayserispor also gave Besiktas a first option clause to buy Mensah for 4.5 million Euros at the end of the loan deal.
Mensah arrived in Istanbul on Sunday night and signed his contract on Monday afternoon.

The nimble-footed playmaker previously played for Vitoria Guimaraes, Atletico Madrid, Getafe, and Kasimpasa.

He scored on his Black Stars debut against Togo in an international friendly on June 8, 2015 and has gone ahead to earn three more caps.
