The athletic quartet of Flings Owusu-Agyapong, Janet Amponsah, Gemma Acheampong, and Beatrice Gyaman are confident they won’t allow this opportunity to slip through after investing extra effort in their training for this competition.
This point was emphasised by US-based Flings, in an interview ahead of their heats that they needed to sharpen some rough edges and she was optimistic their dreams of progressing to the next stage would be a reality.
“We still got to work on the handoff, work on the steps and basically run as fast as we can to possibly make it to the final,” Flings twitted.
Ghana is in lane two alongside Ukraine (lane one), Netherlands, Canada, Jamaica, China, Great Britain and Poland in that order.
