Ashie chases C’wealth title in Scotland Nov 26

Ashie is hoping to add the Commonwealth belt to his collection and enhance his chances of fighting for the world championship.

Target
The hard-hitting fighter is confident of beating Matamba (12-2, 10 KOs) to position him to win another belt before the year ends.
In an interview with Daily Graphic, Ashie said the time was ripe for him to snatch the belt from his Congolese counterpart.
“This is another opportunity to win the Commonwealth title and I am not ready to let it go,” Ashie (33-5-1, 25 KOs) stated.
“The time is ripe to win the belt and I have to work harder to finish the year with two belts so it can boost my chances of fighting for the world championship,” he said.

Comeback
After silencing braggart Robert Quaye on March 6, Ashie is yet to fight again and the Matamba’s bout offers him the platform to exhibit his craft to the international market.
On the other hand, Matamba will be making his second appearance in the ring this year after losing on points to Gardner in May.
The South Africa-based fighter is looking forward to returning to winning ways against Ashie and will do everything to get that on November 26.
