The 27-ear-old who made a big money move from Spanish side, Atletico Madrid to Arsenal on the transfer deadline day, played just 10 minutes in his debut for the club when lost 0-1 to Manchester City in their Premier League game.

Despite his short time on the pitch, fans of the club hailed his impact and are eager to see him play 90 minutes.

This has forced the manager to reconsider his decision to give the £45m player much longer time on the pitch.

Asked how Partey has reacted since his appearance against City, Arteta said: “He has reacted really well.

“I think he came on and looked strong, looked confident and he added something positive to the team.

“It was a very short turnaround from him. Since he joined he had a day, a day and a half only in training. ‘He has done a few more training sessions and he looks ready to start”, the manager stated.
