Anderlecht open contract negotiations with Francis Amuzu

Amuzu's current deal with the "Purple and white" expires in the summer of 2022 but they are ready to extend it with an improved wage to ward off interest from Wolverhampton Wanderers and a number of English Premier League teams.

The 20-year-old Belgian youth international of Ghanaian descent scored three goals and also provided three assists for Anderlecht in 20 league games this season despite starting the majority of the matches from the bench.

The youngster went through the Anderlecht youth system before being promoted to the first team by then manager Hein Vanhaezebrouck in January 2018.

Son of former Accra Hearts of Oak and Black Meteors winger Theophilus Amuzu, Francis was born in Accra but relocated to Belgium at an early age to join his father who was playing there.

On the international scene, Amuzu currently plays for the Belgian national under-21 team but is still eligible to feature for Ghana.
