Year 2020 Will see an enhanced PPP — Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom
The 2020 Election will see an enhanced Progressive People’s Party (PPP), the founder and 2016 Flag Bearer of the party, Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom, has affirmed.

In an interview, he explained that an enhanced PPP would be multifaceted, stronger and has a variety of people coming on board either as a broadened PPP or a new name altogether.
Sharing some insights on what the PPP was doing per reorganisation, Dr Nduom who is also the President of Groupe Nduom, said: “The point is that we know we have to win an election in order to implement our 10-point development agenda to affect a change in the lives of the people.”
PPP needs to be in govt
The business magnate and politician explained that the PPP needed to have its candidates in Parliament, win the Presidency, and even win the elections for metropolitan, municipal and district chief executives (MMDCEs).
“In 2020, our candidates will by all means be in Parliament and if we have additional resources, we will have a good chance in the presidential election,” he declared.
According to Dr Nduom, to win the 2020 polls, there was the need for the PPP to combine its efforts under common set of principles with other political parties or forces,” he disclosed.
He said the National Executive Committee of the PPP had agreed to rebuild a different and an enhanced PPP in 2020.
In so doing, he said the PPP was working very hard on that starting with constituency elections across the country between September and November this year.

NPP/NDC duo-politics
Dr Nduom also disclosed that the PPP was working extra hard to do away with and end the duo-politics of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Along this goal, he said the PPP was in talks with other political parties to see how they could work together and consolidate efforts for victory in 2020.
“As I am speaking to you, some few political parties are talking; but whether it leads to a consolidation, merger or the forming of a new party I do not know,” he hinted.
He also urged the media to give attention and space to the work of other political parties, saying: “There is this persistence thing out there to perpetuate NPP and NDC on the Ghanaian electorate.”
