Volta chiefs congratulate President
The leadership and members of the Volta Regional House of Chiefs have congratulated President John Dramani Mahama on his election as president-elect.

They expressed the hope that the chiefs and people of the Volta Region and the Volta Region Development Agency would work in concert with the president to further strengthen the peace and unity of the nation and to ensure equitable development.
This was contained in a press release signed by the President of the house and the Agbogbomefia of Ho, Togbe Afede XIV and issued to the press in Ho on Monday.
It stated that the president had in the four and half months preceeding his election demonstrated through his words and actions a commitment to live up to his promise to pursue the agenda of the late President John Evans Atta Mills to strengthen the peace and unity of the nation.
It said the fulfilment of the promise had inspired Ghanaians to put their trust in him and that the people were inspired by ensuring that all Ghanaians benefited from the country’s development and prosperity.
The release thanked the people of the Volta Region for the exemplary manner in which they conducted themselves before, during and after the December 7, elections and appealed to Ghanaians to endeavour to use constitutional means to resolve all outstanding issues in order to protect the peace and tranquility that had become the hall mark of their beloved country.
