The Northern Volta Youth Alliance (NVYA) has appealed to President John Dramani Mahama not to listen to any group of people advocating the appointment of a new Volta Regional Minister from the Northern sector.
A statement issued in Accra yesterday and signed by Mr Jerry Okyere, Secretary of NVYA said: “We believe that this divisive tendency is eating the social and moral fibre of the region.”
It said it was unfortunate that whilst other regions were thinking of their collective interests, parochial and selfish interest had taken a better part of the elite in the region.
