There was a display of political maturity last Saturday at Seikwa in the Brong Ahafo Region when some leading members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) joined scores of National Democratic Congress (NDC) stalwarts at the funeral of the mother of the NDC General Secretary, Mr Johnson Asiedu Nketia.
Vice-President Kwesi Amissah-Arthur led a government delegation to console the family of Mr Asiedu Nketia (aka General Mosquito) for the loss of Obaapanin Hagar Akosua Afra, 95.
He consoled the bereaved family and thanked God for the life of the deceased.
The immediate past General Secretary of the NPP, Mr Kwadwo Owusu-Afriyie, demonstrated love and support for his friend when he attended the funeral to mourn with him.
Mr Asiedu Nketia expressed gratitude and appreciation for the show of support for him and his family in such a difficult period.
He further thanked his friends on the other side of the political divide for standing by him during that sad moment.
