Up-coming elections crucial - Veep

Mr Amissah-Arthur said the government would continue to develop all parts of the country without ethnic, political or religious  considerations.

He therefore urged the people to vote massively for President John Dramani Mahama and all parliamentary candidates who stood on the ticket of the party.

“I urge you brothers and sisters of the NDC party to go out in huge numbers to give the party a ‘one touch victory’ in the December elections for us to continue with the good works we have started” he stressed.

The Vice-President mentioned the successes chalked up by the government in all sectors of the economy, citing the massive infrastructural development initiatives  dotted around the country to buttress his point.

He said the Eastern Corridor road project would open up the eastern northern part for economic and merchandise activities.

Earlier, the Vice-President and his encourage paid a courtesy call on the Paramount Chief of Vakpo, Togbega Gbogbolulu V, and assured him of the government’s commitment to extend development projects to all parts of the country.

He asked for the blessings of the chiefs and elders, now, during and after the elections, saying we need peace at all times.

The chief, for his part, commended the government for the development project it had initiated over the past four years and expressed the confidence that the part would retain power in the December elections.

Ghana’s Ambassador to Malaysia, Mr Dan Abodakpi, who was part of the entourage, said it was only the party that had hope for the people, saying the  party was for all Ghanaians.

Vice-President addressed similar rallies at Anfoega and Kpandu.
