He added that it was about time the youth in the country were empowered and given the opportunity to learn from the experienced ones so that in the absence of the elderly, there would not be a vacuum in the governance structure.

Mr Aboagye said when elected, he, together with other members of the body would ensure that policies that would help address the pertinent problems confronting the youth were taken seriously.

Asked about how he would tap into the tourism potential of the region, Mr Aboagye stated that the region, which was endowed with a lot of tourist attractions, would be showcased to attract investors, as well as visitors to shore up the revenue base of the tourist sites and increase the foreign exchange earnings of the country.
