Two NDC parliamentary aspirants cleared to contest
The two aspirants for the Tema West National Democratic Congress((NDC) Parliamentary ticket have heaved a sigh of relief as their names have been released as qualified to contest the November 7 primaries.

The two aspirants are Lawyer James Enu and Mr Bill Boglo-Hedo.
The delay in releasing the results from the vetting caused some anxiety and consternation among the camps of both aspirants. However, over the weekend, the
NDC National Petition Review Committee cleared the two aspirants, paving the way for the primaries.
One of the two aspirants Mr Bill Boglo-Hedo, is optimistic of his chances ahead of the November 7 primaries.
This optimism comes at the heels of the clearance given by the party's National Petition Review Committee to the two aspirants, Lawyer James Enu, Mr Bill Boglo-Hedo and the constituency executive to prepare for the primaries.
Mr Boglo-Hedo said he was profoundly humbled and deeply overwhelmed by the collective support he had so far enjoyed from all stakeholders in the Tema West constituency since he announced his bid to contest the primaries and pledged to work hard to secure the nomination of the party.
The pensions expert, who described himself as ‘true blue’ Tema West citizen, made a pledge to all party members in the constituency that if elected, he would be accessible and be with them through all the difficult times that they might encounter.
"I pledge to mobilise all of our strengths and energies to do what we must in order to improve the living standards of our people, something which years of NPP leadership in this constituency has failed to achieve. " he said
He said his message to the electorate was a simple one - "let us take the fight to the NPP in 2016 by electing a formidable candidate to defeat the NPP’s Carlos Ahenkorah at the polls next year"
Clean campaign
Mr Boglo-Hedo called on all his supporters, as well as his fellow contestants in the race and their respective supporters to run a clean campaign and stressed that
"we can have a family contest without animosity, cruel lies and hatred. "I pledge to personally run such a clean campaign and to desist from any acts or utterances which will cause disaffection in members of our party and even those outside our party ahead of the polls. I further encourage any fellow aspirant in this race to unequivocally demand same from his supporters."
The aspirant also extended a hand of friendship to all sympathisers of the NDC in the constituency, especially those who supported other candidates in the past and became disillusioned with the party about how events unfolded.
"To all of them, I say it is a new day and a new season. Come back home and let us build our party into a winning machine within Tema West. We are one family and it is time for us all to bind together and stay united for a tough fight. Let us all keep our focus in this race and let us win together for the benefit of our people." He said.
Background
At the close of the party's nomination for parliamentary primaries, two people successfully filed their nomination to via for the slot. The two are Lawyer James Enu and Mr Bill Boglo-Hedo.
The Greater Accra Regional Executive of the NDC, however, withheld vetting results for the parliamentary aspirants based on petitions filed against the aspirants by some party loyalists.
