Three suspected robbers last Monday attacked the Member of Parliament (MP) for Sekyere Afram Plains, Mr Alex Adomako-Mensah, and made away with some personal belongings.
Narrating the incident to the Daily Graphic, the MP said he was in the company of his driver while on their way from Kumasi heading towards Kumawu in the evening.
On reaching Akotosu near Wonoo in the Sekyere Kumawu District around 6.40 p.m., he said an unregistered vehicle crossed his vehicle with registration number BA 830-15 and three unknown men came out and ordered them to surrender their belongings at gunpoint.
He said he had no other option than to surrender his bag which contained an iPad, an iPod, four different cheque books, his MP’s ID card, keys to his house in Accra and his office at the Parliament House.
