Roman Fada was Akua Donkor's vice presidential candidate who has now been nominated by the GFP to replace her.
Following the death of Akua Donkor last week, the founder and presidential candidate of the party, the Electoral Commission gave the GFP up to Friday, November 8, 2024 to nominate a replacement.
Earlier, some reports had suggested the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the GFP in a letter addressed to the Electoral Commission, dated November 5, 2024 had cited the recent passing of Akua Donkor, as the primary reason for a decision to withdrawal from the race.
Madam Akua Donkor died on October 28 at the Greater Accra Regional Hospital.
The Electoral Commission had given up to Friday, December 8, 2024 for the GFP to replace their presidential candidate.
