Richard Agyare, the immediate-past Deputy Secretary of the New Patriotic Party East London Chapter in the United Kingdom, has officially declared his intention to contest the party's parliamentary primary for the Offinso South Constituency in the Ashanti Region.
In a press release dated November 1, 2026, the entrepreneur and philanthropist stated that his declaration represents his personal commitment to public service, responsible leadership, and the development of his beloved Offinso South constituency.
"I, RICHARD AGYARE, officially declare my intent to seek the parliamentary candidature of the New Patriotic Party for the Offinso South Constituency in the Ashanti region of Ghana," he declared. He noted that following the recent announcement by the party's leadership permitting aspirants to express their interest through the designated NPP portal from November 1 to November 10, 2026, he wished to formally inform all party faithful of his intention to submit his expression of interest.
Mr Agyare emphasised the importance of discipline, unity, and respect for the constitutional structures and directives of the party. Accordingly, he urged all his supporters, campaign coordinators, volunteers, and well-wishers to suspend all campaign activities, including public mobilisations, promotional activities, and campaign-related communications, until further official directives are issued by the party leadership through the General Secretary, Justin Kodua Frimpong.
"Our commitment to the party must always be guided by respect for its leadership, internal democratic processes, and established rules. Let us remain patient, disciplined, united and focused as we await further communication from the appropriate party authorities," he implored.
He also expressed his appreciation to friends, family, party members, and supporters for their encouragement and confidence in him, praying for God's wisdom, strength, and unity as they continue the journey of service to the constituency and the nation.
