According to her, “posterity will judge our generation if we [Ghanaians] do not carry out our civic responsibility”.

She maintained that good people have the responsibility of resisting selfish people who want to take over the country with all their might.

The Women’s Coordinator said this at a national women’s strategic Meeting held on Saturday, November 30, 2013  in the Central Region.

The meeting was, among other things, to draw a plan on how to build the party and to ensure that more women were involved in Ghana's politics since women were really the bedrock of the country.

The meeting also discussed internal party issues and how the party could make a positive impact in the country.

There were updates on what had been happening in the various regions.

Reports from the participants at the meeting indicated that many Ghanaians were disatisfied with the developments in the country and were looking for practical solutions.

The National Vice-Chairperson, Ms Mary Ankomah, posited that the PPP was now the party many wanted to be associated with and  want to help grow it so the party had the responsibility of not failing Ghanaians.

According to myjoyonline.com, the women pledged to reach every corner of the country to draw people to the party while establishing effective networks with the many Ghanaians who were already attracted to the party.

The Progressive Women, the women's wing of the party, unanimously agreed that the current political dispensation was not helping the country and, therefore, underscored the need for massive education of voters.

They also said that every vote that was cast had an effect on the destiny of the country.

Members were tasked to ensure that the voice for the call for effective leadership is very loud and present everywhere.

The women assured Ghanaians that the PPP was the only party seeking their interests and encouraged all to shake off the perception that the party was too new to be given the mandate to govern the country.

They maintained that in all spheres of life, competence, dedication, and commitment are the main pillars and that the PPP was  an embodiment of all that.
