Prez hosts Iranian leader, former Presidents at state dinner

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad paid a two-day visit to Ghana during which he held bilateral talks with President John Dramani Mahama.

During the visit he signed memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with the Ghanaian government on bilateral cooperation in the areas of education, agriculture, tourism, youth and sports.

The MoUs followed a series of bilateral discussions held between Ghanaian and Iranian officials, led by President  Mahama and his Iranian counterpart.

President Ahmadinejad during his visit also held a lecture at the Iranian University and paid visits to the Iranian Clinic in Accra and the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum.

The visit was the first to the country by an Iranian leader.
