President John Mahama has cancelled a request by the Ghana Youth Employment and Entrepreneurial Agency (GYEEDA) for proposals to implement an ICT module.
The calls for proposals have been advertised in the media, including in the Daily Graphic.
According to the President, the GYEEDA request is without authorisation and should be withdrawn.
He made this known Thursday in a press release signed by the Minister for Information & Media Relations, Mr Mahama Ayariga.
"The Office of the President has reiterated that all directives on GYEEDA remain in force," the statement read
"The request for proposals to implement an ICT model presently being advertised by GYEEDA is therefore without authorization and should be withdrawn."
President Mahama went on to direct the Acting Executive Director of GYEEDA, Mr Kobby Achaempong, "to expedite action on the reforms contained in the initial Presidential directives on GYEEDA to pave the way for implementation of modules that would create job opportunities for the youth."
