President John MahamaPresident John Dramani Mahama will on Monday be the Special Guest of the World Leaders Forum of the Columbia University, USA, where he will deliver a lecture titled 'Reflections on the challenges and prospects of democratic consolidation in Africa'.

The World Leaders Forum, which is in its 10th year, is an internationally recognised platform for heads of state and other thought leaders to address global issues.

The forum was established in 2003 by Columbia University President, Lee C. Bollinger, as a year round event that seeks to advance robust dialogue on significant economic, political and social issues.

President Mahama has this year been invited to, and delivered lectures on major platforms like the Chatham House in the UK, the French  Institute of Foreign Relations, the Pan African Parliament in South Africa and at major sub-regional and continental summits.

Before the lecture, President Mahama will take part in a session on 'Leadership for Delivery', which is being hosted by the former British Premier Tony Blair and the World Bank President, Jim Yong Kim.

The president will also be among the lead discussants at a forum on how private sector investment in Africa can be enabled and used as part of a solution to youth unemployment.
