President Mahama on two-day Eastern Region tour

President John Mahama is embarking on a two-day working visit to the Eastern region, starting off with a mini-durbar by the chiefs and people of Akuapem in his honour at Akropong.

A press release by the Media Office, Flagstaff House Communications Bureau said during the tour, President Mahama will also meet and address the Eastern Regional House of Chiefs in Koforidua. He is also expected to interact with students, staff and faculty of the Koforidua Polytechnic, as well as inspect progress on some ongoing projects in the Region.

On the final day of his visit on Wednesday, the President will engage in a number of activities in the Afram Plains area where he is scheduled to inspect projects and inaugurate a new maternity ward for the Donkorkrom Presbyterian Hospital. President Mahama will also be in Kyebi to inaugurate a newly completed water treatment plant for the people of the area.
