According to the party, it has taken note of the ongoing strike action by members of the GMA and their recent threat to suspend emergency services at the hospitals with effect from April 15, 2013.

“We would like to appeal to the GMA to reconsider its threat to withdraw emergency services in the interest of the nation,” it said in a statement signed by Mr Kwadwo Owusu-Afriyie, the General Secretary of the party.

It also called on the government to urgently demonstrate leadership with regard to the settlement of the grievances of the doctors since the strike would affect all Ghanaians.
