New National House of Chiefs members sworn in

Speaking at the ceremony, Dr Henry Seidu Daanna, the Minister of Chieftaincy and Traditional Affairs, stated that the government recognised the contribution of chiefs  towards national development and solving chieftaincy disputes in the country.

He said the ministry was aware of the difficulties facing the chiefs in the areas  of allowances, inadequate training, among others, and assured them of an open-door administration to promote the cause of chieftaincy in the country.   

In his welcoming address, the President of the National House of Chiefs and Wulugu Naba, Pugansoa Naa Prof John S. Nabila, said the core mandate of the National and Regional Houses of chiefs was to resolve and reduce chieftaincy disputes to the barest minimum and thereby reduce the burden on the judicial committees in the adjudication of chieftaincy cases in the country.

 He expressed his appreciation to the government for the provision of vehicles to the house to enhance its mobility and administrative service.
