NDC elect a candidate for Buem by-election

A 44 year old marketer; Daniel Kwesi Ashiamah has been selected to contest the Buem by-election on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

The Buem seat became vacant after the death of the MP, Henry Ford Kamel on Christmas day last year. 

There were fears the primaries might not come off after a member of the party secured a court injunction restraining the party from holding the primaries after aide to former President Rawlings, Kofi Adams was disqualified.
