NDC communication team congratulates Tamale MCE

Members of the Northern Regional Communication Team of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have congratulated the new Tamale Metropolitan Chief Executive (MCE), Abdul-Rahman Abdul-Hanan Gundado on his appointment.

The team has urged all stakeholders within the Tamale Metropolis to support the new MCE to bring the needed development to the area.

In a statement signed by the Deputy Northern Regional Propaganda Secretary of the NDC, Mr Abdul-Mumin Fuseini, the team said the trend whereby almost all the metropolitan, municipal and district chief executive (M/MDCE) appointees in the region obtained 100 per cent confirmations underscored the thoroughness of the process adopted by President John Mahama in appointing those chief executives.

The statement said the ease with which MMDCEs were being approved in the region defeated claims by their political detractors that the appointees were not good materials for the offices they were being appointed to.

The statement also commended the Northern Regional Minister, Mr Bede Ziedeng  and his Deputy, Alhaji A.B.A Fuseini, for their influential roles in securing endorsements for these MMDCEs.

They admonished the new MMDCEs to partner the communication team in informing the public about development projects executed in their areas.

The statement concluded that “having been a member of the communication team for many years, we have no doubt that Honourable Gundado would show leadership by canvassing support in favour of the  agenda to ensure the story of the Better Ghana Agenda is told in the right manner and in the right proportions.”
