This, according to Mr Aasoglenang, was in the best interest of the development of the newly created Nandom District.

Interacting with the Daily Graphic in Wa in the Upper West Region, Mr Aasoglenang, who was speaking from the perspective of a community development expert, said the DCE had since his confirmation exhibited political maturity by pulling all the people along irrespective of ones political affiliation.

"He has not allowed political colours to influence his decisions, above all, he has been able to reach out to the youthful elite to bring them on board to help develop the place," Mr Aasoglenang stressed and said all these traits of the Nandom DCE were manifested in the proceedings in the assembly where known political representatives took decisions based on nothing but development".

The Nandom Kpee assembly member, who is also a lecturer at the Wa campus of the University for Development Studies ( UDS), said as an assembly member, he had served under various DCEs in the then Lawra District from which the Nandom District was carved but the system at the time was very polarised on political lines.

However, he said the Nandom District Chief  Executive had done away with those "negative tendencies" and he is all for development.

He said with this positive attitude, Mr Kunkpiel must be retained as the DCE for Nandom, more so when the district was very young.
