A letter signed by Mr Kobina Ade Coker,  the Greater Accra Regional Chairman of  the NDC,  and released to the press said the regional executive attention had been drawn to an article in the Daily Graphic of Saturday, November 2, 2013, attributed to the Regional Secretary,  Mr Aristo Aryee,  that ‘’ a decision was taken at a meeting of the regional executive committee during which members unanimously resolved to revoke your dismissal  from the party’’.

‘’This follows the acceptance of your letter of apology  and your sincere remorse in that letter’’

According to the letter signed by Mr Coker, that article  was fake, fraudulent, misleading and has no effect.

The Regional Executive, therefore, disassociated themselves from the publication and re-stated that Mr Leeford Quarshie, as per the constitution of the party (Article 38 E),  having decided to  go independent in the 2012 elections, had been expelled from the party and that had not been revoked.

Mr Quarshie contested and lost the Korle-Klottey Constituency primary of the NDC prior to the 2012 elections. He raised issues with the process and, not satisfied with the reaction of the constituency and regional executives, contested the 2012 parliamentary elections as an independent candidate.

The regional executive reiterated that Quarshie was not a member of the NDC and,  therefore, ‘’anybody who deals with him on the basis of the claim that he has been reinstated by the regional executive does so at his own peril’’, saying the regional executive ‘’will like to treat the stated reinstatement with contempt and of no value.’’
