Katherine Reckling endorsed as Sekyere South DCE

Madam Katherine Reckling has been endorsed as the new District Chief Executive for Sekyere South District in Ashanti region.

She was unanimously endorsed by all 49 assembly members on Thursday.

Just before voting commenced, the Ashanti Regional Minister, Mr Simon Osei-Mensah, noted that he was confident that the assembly members were going to vote overwhelmingly for Madam Reckling but reminded her that the endorsement meant that they were seeking cooperation. 

He said it would be an act of bad faith and a stab in the back if after endorsing her she turned her back on them and refuse to cooperate with the assembly members for the development of the district.

He admonished the incoming DCE to reciprocate the gesture by ensuring that the assembly members get a fair develop of their various electoral areas.

An elated Madam Reckling expressed gratitude to the assembly members for the endorsement and assured them that she would also reciprocate the gesture by working closely with them to advance the cause of the district.
