Delivering his solidarity message to NDC delegates gathered at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium for the party's 8th National Delegates Congress , Agyapong said it was about time politicians eschewed needless propaganda, outright lies, pure insults and total disrespect towards one another.

He said  the relationship between the NDC and NPP should be guided by decency, maturity and nationalism.

He however noted that recent happenings in the country have led to a lack of confidence in politicians.

Mr Agyepong challenged politicians to lead by example by upholding and respecting the values of tolerance, decency and discipline.

He chastised the media for accommodating the use of intemperate language, propaganda, insults  and pure lies,  which he said poison the political atmosphere.

Still on political maturity, he said political activity must restore hope and confidence to people.

He expressed hope that the NDC would elect a leadership that would ensure the relationship between the two parties was elevated beyond "needless propaganda, outright lies, pure insult and total disrespect" and rather hold aloft the beauty of Ghanaian cultural values of respect and truth.

Mr Agyapong said politics should cater for the welfare of the underprivileged and social economic well being of the entire citizenry.

He berated the government for the current waste of the countries meagre resources, which he said must be checked in order to ensure every pesewa was well utilised for the benefit of the ordinary Ghanaian.

The NPP General Secretary used the opportunity to criticise the President for his many unfulfilled promises of transforming the economy at the beginning of the year.

“At the beginning of this year, you assured Ghanaians 2014 was going to be a transformational year, however you will admit events over the past 12 months have paralysed businesses, pain, depression, and general despondency.”

He said what was required now was less talk and more action.

"Political leadership must be seen as a privilege to serve society which he said is anchored on the pillars of selflessness ,sacrifice and service," he added.

he ended his message by calling for the renewal of love for the country. . lets renew the spirit of love for our country.
