I’ll wage war on poverty, illiteracy – E.K.T. Addo
He said he had come to better the lives of the people to enable them to take advantage of development activities happening around them.
He said the region’s development process had been greatly influenced by the collapse of major industries including the Komenda Sugar factory, the Pomadze Poultry and the Saltpond Ceramics and that the situation had increased the unemployment rate in the region.
Mr Addo said he would work to achieve the President’s vision to transform the country into a fully-fledged middle income country, ensure quality education for all, promote job creation and ensure equitable growth of the country.
He pledged that work on the Kotokuraba Market and the Cape Coast stadium would be expedited for the people of Cape Coast and urged all to support efforts to transform the region into a prosperous one.
