Groups laud appointment of Tuah-Yeboah as Deputy AG designate

Two groups in the Bono Region have commended President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for appointing the regional President of the Ghana Bar Association, Mr Alfred Tuah-Yeboah, as the Deputy Attorney General and Minister of Justice designate.

The Bono Professionals Network (BoPNet) and Friends of Alfred Tuah- Yeboah said the credentials of the appointee in the area of academia, professional practice and experience as well as in party work made him the best pair for the Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Mr Godfred Yeboah Dame, to deliver optimal results for the country.

In a statement, the two groups described the deputy minister designate as a consummate lawyer and a dye-in-the wool member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) who had acquitted himself well in the area of law and practice as well as in politics.

Mr Tuah-Yeboah,45, is currently the Head of the Legal Committee of the NPP in the Bono Region.

The statement expressed confidence in him to offer valuable support to the Attorney General to prosecute the agenda of President Akufo-Addo to help brighten the chances of the NPP in the next elections.

It said Mr Tuah-Yeboah was “a big picture person,” who did not allow his personal interest and wishes to override the goals and interest of the party.

Response to appointment

The statement said the Bono Region was excited about his appointment and that was evidence of the confidence the people had in him.

It assured the country that the nominee would use his expertise to support the minister to “use the law in defence of the State and its people and also give confidence to businesses that Ghana is the place to invest.”
