The Volta Regional Women’s Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Margaret Akua Dzogbewu, has called on members of the NDC to remain united for the party to reap greater electoral fortunes in the next general election.
She said the prospects for jobs and entrepreneurial opportunities for women were very bright with the forthcoming women’s bank.
Miss Dzogbewu, who is seeking re-election, stated in an interview with the Daily Graphic last Sunday that she would continue to ensure women are actively involved in all decision-making processes of the party.
Funds
She said scouting for funds from non-governmental organisations, individuals and corporate bodies to support traders would remain part of her priorities.
Miss Dzogbewu said she would work around the clock to promote skills training for the youth to enable them to earn decent incomes.
“Transparency and accountability will be my hallmark as I serve my party as the Volta Regional Women’s Organiser,” she added.
Miss Dzogbewu said she served in that capacity for four years without blemish and the experience she acquired over the period would enable her to raise the flag of the party to greater heights.
She announced plans to involve girls in various social activities, including football, to keep them occupied outside the classroom.
