NABCO trainees to get 100% increment in allowances — GUM

The Ghana Union Movement (GUM) Presidential Candidate, Rev. Christian Kwabena Andrews, popularly known as Osofo Kyiriabossom, has promised to increase the salaries of Nation Builders Corps (NABCO) trainees by 100 per cent when elected as President on December 7, 2020.

He said he was worried about how the trainees were being paid a little sum of money for their hard work.

He expressed his readiness to make the work of the NABCO trainees sustainable when elected as President.

Interview

In an interview with journalists, Rev. Andrews said a GUM government would ensure that the NABCO trainees enjoyed better life for the benefit of the country's economic growth.

He noted trainees had been deceived by the current government, with a promise of making it more vibrant to the admiration of Ghanaians.

He noted a 100 per cent increase in the salaries of the trainees would boost their morale in their fields of work.

Financial incentives

Rev. Andrews, who is also the Founder and Leader of the Life Assembly Worship Centre, was of the view that the only way the trainees could deliver to the admiration of everyone was only when they were provided with the requisite financial incentives.

He also promised to provide the trainees with the necessary logistics that would enhance their operations .

"Though the NABCO initiative forms part of the current government's plan of addressing Ghana's high unemployment challenge, the treatment given to the trainees makes the programme meaningless," he alleged.

Youth

Rev. Andrews said the only way Ghana could boast a better future was when the youth were well trained and catered for to help them face their future tasks.

He promised to come up with more youth-designed programmes that would benefit the youth.

"I am not fighting to become President of the country to create wealth for myself but rather create a better future for the country," he stated.

He called on Ghanaians to vote for GUM in the elections for the betterment of the country.

Rev. Andrews urged the electorate to show both the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC), the red card on December 7, 2020 by voting for GUM.
