The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member Of Parliament (MP) for Agona East, Ms Queenstar Maame Pokuah Sawyerr, has organised a Christmas party for children at Agona Jacobu, a ward in her constituency.
The end of year party is the seventh in a row.
She has successfully organised similar occasions for the past six years for children across six out of the 10 wards that make up the Agona East Constituency.
The children, who were drawn from the various wards, were treated to good music while they feasted with their MP and other ward executives.

Putting smiles on children’s faces
Addressing the children at the party, Obaatanpa Queenstar indicated that the Christmas party was an occasion she established before she became MP but she saw the need to continue in that spirit of putting smiles on the faces of children and making them experience the joy of Christmas aside from what their parents would do for them.
She said there was no doubt that the Agona East parliamentary seat, which hitherto was a swing one for both the NDC and New Patriotic Party
(NPP) over the past years, had now become a preserve for the NDC and that through her hard work and the dedication of the constituency executive she had been able to hold on to the seat.
She promised to ensure that the seat would never go the other way.
She called on her constituents to offer her the needed support to continue delivering on her promises towards ensuring growth and development of Agona East.
