George Andah win Awutu Senya West

Marketing guru, Georga Andah, won the Awutu Senya West Constituency New Patriotic Party (NPP) primaries.

Andah who came to political prominence through pressure group, Occupy Ghana polled 282 votes out of 544 votes cast.

When he declared his intention in March this year, Mr Andah said he was in a good stead to serve the country, although he was not an angel.

“I am no angel but I have always been guided by certain values and principles and I believe that … my experience puts me in a good place to serve Ghana. I am with the new Ghanaian who believes that right is right and wrong is wrong irrespective political background you may have or political leader you admire,”

He is expected to face a stiff competition from the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Ms Hanna Serwaa Tetteh, if she decides to contest that seat again in the 2016 elections.

“I believe I am ready to serve my country, my constituency and the idealogy I believe in. I don’t think this is about beating A or B. It’s about putting myself up to serve, and hopefully crossing the first step of being selected as the parliamentary Candidate for the NPP,” he said of the possibility of facing Ms Tetteh when he declared his intentions to contest.

Mr Andah made a name for himself in marketing circles working for MTN, Airtel and Glo.
