He congratulated President John Dramani Mahama on his election and urged him to establish a government that would select the most capable people to help implement his promises to Ghanaians and at the same time create space for all well-meaning Ghanaians to play the needed role to ensure national unity.

He also congratulated the Ghanaian media on their maturity in the coverage of the December elections, saying there had been a significant improvement in the coverage of elections by the Ghanaian media since 1992.

Rev. Agyei urged religious leaders to call their members to order and educate them to desist from the use of abusive language and unnecessary attacks on people with dissenting views.

He called on all, irrespective of political affiliation and ethnic background, to work towards peace and national unity. - GNA
