He said unity in the party was paramount than individual interest, hence it was incumbent on all to conduct campaigns devoid of insults and allegations.

Mr Boglo-Hedo was speaking to the media after he officially launched his campaign for the NDC parliamentary primary  at Sakumono-Estates last Sunday.

"I wish to advise all our followers to be civil in their debates and focus on issues that will help the delegates make the right choice.

We should be guided by the principal objective of the party to win the presidential slot and retain our majority in Parliament," he stressed.

Animosity

He said the contest for the seat could be done devoid of animosity, cruel lies, hatred, he therefore, urged all to abide by the rules and regulations governing the primaries, and entreated his opponents to do same in the interest of the party.

Mr Boglo-Hedo, who is a Pensions Expert, implored the delegates to elect the most marketable candidate who would be able to unite members of the Party towards a strategic campaign to wrest the seat form the NPP.

“For those of you who say the NPP candidate in Tema West, Mr Carlos Ahenkorah is a Goliath, fine. But I don’t see him as a Goliath. If he is a Goliath send a David to him. We need to change the narrative in this constituency, hence my message to you is a simple one. Let’s take the fight to the NPP in 2016 by selecting a formidable candidate to defeat the them at the polls next year and I, Bill Boglo-Hedo is that candidate. We are not afraid of hardwork, we rather embrace it,” he said.

Advocacy

Flanked by his wife and members of his campaign team, Mr Boglo said when given the nod, he would advocate strongly for employment opportunities for the youth in the area. A former Constituency Chairman for Krowor, Mr Seth Klaye, touted the credentials of the aspirant and urged the electorate in Tema West to give the mandate to a youthful person who is likeable and cut across the youthful population in the constituency. Ms Obuobia Darko-Opoku, who is also contesting for the Weija-Gbawe   NDC Constituency slot, said a vote for Bill Boglo-Hedo was a vote for a dynamic, enthusiastic and enterprising person who is capable of transforming and bringing development to the constituency.
